Greater Bur-Reed

Not only are these plants good for providing food and habitat for wildlife, these plants are also extremely useful for improving & maintaining water quality by absorbing nutrients and stabilizing waterlogged areas. Growing 6-7' tall, Bur-Reed grows in shallow water or flooded soils in sun to part shade. The "burs" are soft-prickly and not dangerous.
