Dulichium arundinaceum
Three Way Sedge
One of the easier to identify sedges, you can look straight down on the plant and see the leaves growing in ranks of three. The upright stems growing 2-3' tall are quite at home in moist areas including swamps, pond edges, standing water, and creeksides. Water gardens seem to come alive when the narrow leaves of the 3 Way Sedge are used to contrast with broader leaf plants.
