Hydrocotyle ranunculoides

Pennywort

This quick colonizer produces a nice thick mass of scalloped 2-inch leaves growing from running rhizomes in full sun to part shade. The Pennywort has relatively insignificant small powder puff whitish flowers and grows to a height of a mere 4” to 10” above the water. Thrives in muddy shores and is shade tolerant.
