Blue Rush

Perfect for winter interest, the Blue Rush has upright blue stems that sort of resemble a blue fescue from afar but lives right on the pond edge in full sun and moist soil. This European native hardy in zones 4-11 holds color through the winter but the flowers are very unassuming. Reaching 1-2' in height and not spreading more than 2 feet makes this plant suitable for most sized ponds.
