Sarracenia leucophylla 'Tarnock' - 'Tarnock'

Carnivorous Plants

Sarracenia leucophylla 'Tarnok'

'Tarnok'

S. leucophylla 'Tarnok'  like it's parentage is at home in the SE United States and is most common to the Florida Panhandle and southernmost Alabama.  Reaching a height of up to 3' what sets the 'Tarnok' apart is the gorgeous large triploid flower with its deep crimson edges fading to lime green at petal center.  The pitcher of S. leucophylla, 'Tarnok' is bright green at it's base and leads up to a mouth and lid that are stark white with venation of varied color (green to burgundy) and line intensity.  S. 'Tarnok' reproduces twice during season with the heaviest and sturdiest set of new pitchers in late summer and early fall.  It is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful Sarracenia. Highly attractive to insect prey.  Hardy to zone 6.
