Nymphaea sp. 'Firecrest'

Nymphaea 'Firecrest' has lovely star shaped flowers 5-6" in petal width.  Petals shades of hot pink encircle fiery orange stamen.   Flowers reach to the sky from May - September as they rise 1' above water surface with sepals and outer petals hanging down giving N. 'Firecrest' a tropical look! Blooms mid to late summer are slightly fragrant. Moderately free flowering and spreading.  New leaves deep purple turn green (9").  N. 'Firecrest' is a great companion plant to papyrus.
