Calopogon tuberosus, Grass pink orchid, is a graceful standout in the bog setting. The name Calopogon tuberosus is Greek for 'beautiful beard.' 1" lightly fragrant flower in a delicate magenta pink to pink-purple haze mid June - July. A yellow crested-lip above the flower cap this exotic beauty. The flower appears to float over the 6" - 1 1/2 ' single stem. A single narrow grass like leaf forms at it's base.
