- Variegated sweetflag provides bold vertical accent in full sun to part shade
Acorus calamus ‘variegatus’ - variegated sweetflag is hardy in zones 5-11. Variegated sweetflag has aromatic foliage and is similar to Iris in shape, but it is unpalatable to geese and deer. Variegated sweetflag spreads moderately from a thick rhizome forming a dense mat along the pond shore, but may be kept neat when grown in containers. The variegated leaves provide a bold vertical accent in full sun to partial shade. Variegated sweetflag is drought tolerant.
