Sabatia kennedyana, Marsh pink, in it's specialized habitat, forms rhizomatous colonies along shores of ponds in the NE coastal plains. The warm sweet scent of the 1 - 2" flowers is very inviting as it lingers in the air.  Pink, daisy-like flowers, have delicate yellow centers thinly lined in red floating on 2 1/2 ' sturdy stems.  Flowers June - August.
