Chinese Lizard's Tail
The distinctive glossy heart-shaped leaves grow above the water 2-4' tall depending on light conditions. Held above splotchy variegated white & green upper leaves, the curved raceme of the flower is lined with many small fragrant white flowers from June to early September. A colonizing perennial with fibrous rhizomes which grows along the edges of ponds, swamps, marshes, and streams in sun to part shade. Great nectar source for honey bees. Deer resistant.
